A Traveling Soul Tours trip is so special because they really listened to the needs, likes, and wishes of our group and worked that into our itinerary… shopping, history, top-notch restaurants, Highland coos… everyone’s wish list was satisfied. My favorite moment on the Concierge Discovery Tour was exploring a hidden gem on Orkney Island. We waded across a causeway at low tide to reach the ancient Norse island of Brough of Birsay. We were at the top of Scotland, so remote and far away from stuff! I loved it. This trip was fun and unique because we toured a wide range of the country, not just a long stay in one city. We really visited and got to know the Scottish culture, with the help of our experienced guide.

He was very accommodating in all aspects of assisting, either with baggage or a change-up in the itinerary due to our preferences. Once your itinerary is finalized, we request a percentage of your trip cost to secure the bookings. From there, we handle all the logistics of your travel. We provide you with all the documents and details you’ll need for your trip. And, for the duration of your tour, we happily provide support.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to plan a trip?

In most cases, you’ll have your initial itinerary within a few days. First, we’ll (1) set up a call to get to know you and your family, friends or partner. Next, we’ll (2) ask about your interests and how you like to travel, as well as discussing ideas for your chosen destination. From here (3) we’ll curate a tailor-made itinerary and send it over within a few days. You can then fine-tune your trip as much as you like and speak to the other people in your party before confirming. If your needs are more complex then this process can take a little longer. At the same time if you’re eager to travel ASAP then we can get you from inquiry to flight more quickly.

Can you plan short breaks or do you only specialize in big trips?

We can arrange trips of any length or intensity. So if you’re looking for a quick domestic getaway or a lightning-bolt trip to the UK, we can make it happen.

How do I book my airfare? Can I use my points?

Your airfare will be booked on your own. I will be happy to look for good flight deals and help you make the best flight selections for your trip – and ensure your transfers and flights corollate.
Can I use my points? Yes. You book your flight and can use your points any way you wish.

What do your services include?

Our services include offering an unparalleled selection of private/small group tours that are suitable to your interests, budget, and comfort, along with first-hand knowledge of tours, guides and areas being explored. A personal relationship with Traveling Soul Tours will help you navigate your perfect travel experience.

Services include hotel, private local guides, ground transportation, meals indicated in your itinerary, specified excursions, and a wonderful journey.

If I have problems during my trip who do I call?

CALL US. We will do all we can to ensure you have a wonderful trip, beginning to end. If we cannot fix the problem we will guide you to someone who can.

Can you create child-friendly trips?

Absolutely! I’ve traveled for years with my four kids and know first hand the ins and outs of what goes into a great family trip. I’ve spent years working out which destinations, activities and hotels are perfect for kids of any age.

Are there extra expenses not included in the quote for the trip?

Extra expenses not included in the itinerary may include airfare, ferries, some meals (if not specified in the itinerary), personal shopping, extra activities not included in the itinerary, admission to certain sites, and tips.

How do I obtain insurance for my trip? Do I need it?

We strongly encourage travel insurance. There are many travel insurance companies that can be used and we are happy to guide you to find the best insurance company for your needs.

What is the protocol for tipping the guide and other personnel?

The tips all depend on the country, what type of job was done, and services rendered. We will be able to be more specific once your itinerary is settled.

Am I responsible for my own transportation from location to location? Airport, etc.

Airfare is the responsibility of the client but, once you are on the ground for the tour all transportation is included.

All ground transportation will be included in your itinerary unless you request otherwise.

What are some things I can do to curb the cost of the trip?

Accommodations are always a good place to start. We will offer different levels of hotels in your itinerary that can be modified to help cut costs. There are also many other places to reduce expenses that can be discussed during our consultation.

Are meals included in the quoted price?

There will be certain meals included, those will be notated in your itinerary. Other meals will be at your own expense.

When will I need to make full payment for my trip?

Upon approval of the itinerary/quote with the client and Traveling Soul Tours, a deposit of 1/2 of the total quote will be required to hold dates on the tour. The remaining balance will be due 60 days before departure.

How do I pay Traveling Soul Tours?

You can pay for your trip by credit card or bank transfer to our bank account.

Is there a fee for your service?

What is shown on your itinerary quote is your price, there are no added fees.
